Today was such a day.
Today this little contraption came home from Costco, sandwiched between the bag of frozen chicken and the box of frozen pizza.
Perhaps you've heard of this device. It's called an Xbox 360.
Apparently it's frickin' awesome (sorry Sara, but no kiddies read my blog =), and way superior to the regular Xbox. You know, that other device that he couldn't live without and spent months and months painting and "modd-ing".
And he couldn't just bring his new box o' fun home, no! That would just not do. Because bringing home such a delightful toy only reminded him that there wasn't enough cable run to our living room, where apparently this new device is going to reside. How many cables wires and outlets does one room need to have, one might ask (if you're a women that is)?
Two for a baby room. Do babies need cable? Let alone cable on two walls?
Two (maybe three???) in an office.
And I believe the running tally is four in the living room.
Right because we didn't have enough holes in our walls being covered up by clocks or random posters of Jennifer Aniston (I can't quite remember where that poster came from, but there she is whispering about some Rumor that she has with Kevin Costner and Mark Ruffalo).
And in other news, last night I caught Scott doing this.
How adorable is it to watch your husband become excited about being a dad?
It pretty much melts your heart.
SCOTT'S UPDATE===============================
There was only one new hole added to the living room. And now all wires are hidden beneath the baseboards. I think everyone would agree, it looks much better and actually improves the room. All that for only $26 in wood (new baseboards - paint, air gun, and caulking were bought for other projects and don't count towards this because I don't want it to).
I believe she is talking about cat5e outlets. There are two in the nursery, four in the office and only three in the living room. For the most part, they are on each potentially important wall. Guys know why this is all important. Well, at least WooPoo and Da Boom do.
